Sebastian and Dylan were playing with their foam swords and shields in the living room today.

I wasn't paying close attention to their game, as it usually just involves Dylan getting hit in the head too hard by his older brother or a swift jab directly in my face. (Either results in the stoppage of swordplay.)

Today, Sebastian was making up rules to a game and I overheard him tell Dylan, "OK, let's go kiss girls!"

I chuckled and asked, "What did you just say?"

Sebastian got a little sheepish and said, "Oh, I was just talking with Dylan." I asked him if he had said "Let's go kiss girls" and he responded, "We're just playing a game."

Still curious, I tried to get Sebastian to tell me more about the game that would have kissing girls as a rule. There didn't seem to be any substantial theme (e.g. pirates, knights, etc.), and by the time I continued to press him on the matter, he had moved on to a battling robot game with his brother.

So, is it 1st grade when my son starts getting interested in girls? I warned him that he has to get his parents' permission to bring any girls — even imaginary ones — into the house.
